Nokia 6021 Cell Phone

AT&T cell phones should more properly be labeled Cingular phones, since Cingular and AT&T Wireless merged in the fall of 2004. The merger was effected to help these two wireless providers take on the market share owned by Verizon Wireless. Cell phones available to Cingular Wireless subscribers range in price from $0 (via mail-in rebates) to approximately $500.

What sort of features can you expect from an ATT cell phone? For music junkies, new models offer increased storage capacity so your cell phone can double as an MP3 player. Some models allow you to store up to 100 songs, so you can rock out while you're in line at the DMV. Check the speaker quality if you want to play music on your phone--not all models are optimized for stereo-quality sound.

Users who need their phones to keep them organized and on track can check out the latest mobile phone/PDA combos. Email and web access are important to businessmen and businesswomen on the go, whether they are checking stock prices in an airport or need to view the latest meeting schedule while on an investment roadshow on the East Coast. Cingular's phones can provide you with text messaging, Bluetooth compatibility, and PDA synchronicity. Wi-fi capabilities are also available on top-of-the-line models.

The average user who doesn't need the bells and whistles or a high storage capacity for media will find a range of options to choose from, as well. Even the most basic of models usually includes instant messaging capabilities, which work well for families on the go. These less expensive phones are particularly useful for parents who aren't crazy about the idea of giving their teens phones that are worth several hundred dollars. Messaging, polyphonic ringtones, and camera phone functionalities are available on phones that are under $100.
